Under NO circumstances will we ever administer sedatives! Please do not ask us to do this!
Please be aware
that Wakefield Kennel will not administer any medication which
has not been fully approved or prescribed by your veterinarian
(vitamins and dietary supplements are excluded).
Our normal
routine and data processing allows for medication to be administered
up to three (3) times per day.
Our charge for administering medications are as follows:
Ear/Eye
Drops or Ointments $.50 Per Administration
Pills/Ointments $.50 Per Administration
Insulin Injections $ 3.00 per injection
All medications are
administered ONLY
as per the directions prescribed by your veterinarian.
Please
provide us with the following information regarding your pets
medication when you arrive:
1: The
name of the medication and its strength (i.e. 20
mg, ml drops etc.).
2: The number of times per day to be administered.
3: Count out the exact
number of medication to be given and put them in a sealable plastic
baggie with you name on the baggie.
All medications
are administered by our staff in a portion of creme cheese, hot
dog, or peanut butter depending on the preference of your pet.
This is provided by the kennel, so you do not need to bring creme
cheese, hot dog, or peanut butter.
Documents
are maintained to assure the administration of all medications.
