Bathing
Wakefield
Kennel offers bathing services for both dogs and cats: regular and medicated
baths, flea and tick treatments, nail clipping, and anal gland checks,
etc. In our specially equipped facilities, we'll take your pet from tub
to towel -- no fuss, no muss!
Nail
Trimming
Nails are trimmed
whenever pets are bathed at Wakefield Kennel. However, this service can
be performed between regular grooming appointments. No appointment is
necessary.
What
A Bath Includes
Every pet groomed
has its nails cut, pads trimmed, ears cleaned, bathed using our specially
formulated Fresh ‘N Clean Scented Shampoo, blown dry, cologne and bows.
When your pet is styled (clipped), then the hair on the body is trimmed.
Medicated
Shampoos
If your pet is
suffering from Seborrhea, advanced Seborrhea or Flea-Bite Dermatitis,
we can recommend and apply a special medicated shampoo.
Flea
Treatment
Whenever treating
a pet for fleas (dipping) we recommend that the pet owner treat the home,
yard and car to ensure successful eradication. If your pet is on an oral
or topical flea treatment please inform us. We recommend repeating a flea
treatment in seven to ten days for best results. $2.00/Dip plus bathing
Costs.
Coat
Conditioners & Shampoos
During your pet's
bath we can apply a conditioner to it's coat to add luster and sheen.
In addition to enhancing the appearance of the coat a conditioner will
add essential oils to the hair and skin.
1.)
TROPICLEEN This is our regular scented shampoo which is an excellent general
cleansing shampoo and also contains aloe and coconut oil. No extra charge
for this shampoo.
2.) HYPO-ALLERGENIC
A shampoo rich with aloe, coconut oil, shea butter and jojoba oil. An
excellent shampoo for pets with allergy problems or skin that is "sensitive"
to other shampoos. Extra charge $2.00
3.)
MEDICLEEN This specially formulated shampoo helps to soften "flaky"
skin and aid in the relief of mild dermatitis, scaling, dandruff, itching,
and irritated skin. Contains salicylic acid. Extra charge $2.00
4.)
GOODBYE-DRY A wonderfully rich shampoo with aloe and lanolin, pH balanced.
Specifically designed to lubricate and moisturize skin and coat. Extra
charge $2.00
5.)
MELACID Our most excellent shampoo with salicylic acid and melaleuca
oil from Australia. An highly intensive treatment for more severe itching,
eczema, scaling, dandruff, and "flea-bite" dermatitis. Extra charge $4.00
6.)
TAR AND SULFUR A pungent, antiseptic shampoo which contains
aloe vera, coal tar, bio-sulfur flluids, hydrolyzed wheat
protein in a mild shampoo base. Excellent in the treatment
of seborrheic conditions, atopical, and non-specific dermatitis.
Not for dry skins. Extra charge $3.00
7.)
TRIPLE PYRETHRIN FLEA SHAMPOO A concentrated, lathering shampoo enriched
with coconut extract, lanolin, and extra strength pyrethrins. Aids in
killing fleas, ticks, and lice on dogs and cats. Good to use in conjunction
with an alternating program of dipping. Extra charge $2.00
RINSES
AND RE-MOISTURIZERS
1.)
RE-MOISTURIZER A rich rinse with aloe, jojoba oil and panthenol
which helps to re-moisturize the coat. This is similar to
more expensive "hot oil" treatments -- and it smells wonderful!
Extra charge $3.00
2.)
OIL OF ORCHIDS A tearless luxury rinse with oil of orchids,
wheat proteins and evening primrose oil. Helps to replenish
moisture loss due to bathing, dietary deficiencies, and
environmental elements. Relieves itching, flaking, and dandruff.
Leaves a fresh scent that lasts! We have had a great deal
of success with this rinse! Extra charge $3.00.
